Well as it is turning out the Swine Flu has turned out to be a pussy cat with no more to it than the normal seasonal flu. Schools in the Corpus Christi, Texas area were to be closed until May 15th, but today it was announced that everything goes back to normal and school will resume as usual on Thursday. The CDC sent out the word that the closure of schools is no longer necessary. Students of course were bummed because they were looking forward to the vacation before summer vacation.
For the last 11 years I have produced Christian concerts and events as director of For Him Ministries. Yesterday we held another Church Without Walls event in Mathis and at the end of the evening as I was pulling our sound equipment trailer home I realized something. I realized that I am out of shape and I am also getting old. At the young age of 57 it is a lot harder on the old muscles and bones than it used to be. Nonetheless I thank God that I am still able to serve Him and to continue to produce these micro events for His glory. God has blessed me so much and I have so much to be thankful for. I hope that you too are receiving blessings from my Lord. Have a nice evening.
And you guys thought I was crazy. I was even accused of being a
conspiracy theorist. (Who me!) Every since the Swine Flu scare
started I said that this was no more serious than the normal seasonal
flu and that the media was creating a panic. Well here a recent article from Google News writer Mike Stobbe.

SWINE FLU VIRUS STARTING TO LOOK LESS THREATENING

By MIKE STOBBE – 1 hour ago

ATLANTA (AP) — The swine flu virus that has frightened the world is beginning to look a little less ominous. New York City officials reported Friday that the swine flu still has not spread beyond a few schools. In Mexico, very few relatives of flu victims seem to have caught the virus.

One flu expert says there's no reason to believe the new virus is a more serious strain than seasonal flu. And a federal health official said the new flu virus doesn't appear to have genes that made the 1918 pandemic flu strain so deadly.

It's too soon to draw any definitive conclusions about what this variation of the H1N1 virus will do. Experts say the only wise course is to prepare for the worst. But in a world that's been rattled by the specter of a global pandemic, glimmers of hope are welcome.

President Obama noted Friday that it's not clear that the swine flu outbreak will turn out to be any worse than ordinary flu.

"It may turn out that H1N1 runs its course like ordinary flus, in which case we will have prepared and we won't need all these preparations," Obama said.

But "we're taking it seriously," he said. Even if the flu turns out mild now, it could come back in a deadlier form during the normal flu season, he said.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said the illness so far had proven to be "a relatively minor annoyance."

City health officials say they have found few signs that the local outbreak of swine flu is spreading beyond a few pockets or getting more dangerous. The city has 50 cases, the most of any city in the United States.

Dr. Peter Palese, a leading flu researcher at New York's Mount Sinai Medical School, said the new virus appeared to be similar enough to other common flu strains that "we probably all have some type of immunity."

"There is no real reason to believe this is a more serious strain," he said.

Also Friday, an official with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the new swine flu virus lacks the genetic traits that made the 1918 pandemic strain so deadly.

CDC flu chief Nancy Cox said the good news is "we do not see the markers for virulence that were seen in the 1918 virus." Nor does swine flu virus have the virulence traits found in the H5N1 strain of bird flu seen in recent years in Asia and other parts of the world, she said.

"However, we know that there is a great deal that we do not understand" about the strength of the 1918 virus and others that caused serious illnesses, she said. "So we are continuing to learn."

Another CDC official, Dr. Anne Schuchat, said preliminary studies suggest that in U.S. households with an infected person, about a quarter of other family members are getting sick as well.

In some pandemics, the overall infection rate has been as high as 35 percent, Cox said.

She noted the CDC has entered the gene information for the new virus into databases that are publicly available.

"A lot of researchers around the world can begin to look at those gene sequences as well, in case they see something we haven't already seen," she added.

The global flu epidemic early last century was possibly the deadliest outbreak of all time. That virus also was an H1N1 strain — different from the H1N1 strain involved in the current outbreak — and struck mostly healthy young adults. Experts estimate it killed about 40 to 50 million people worldwide.

Associated Press Writer David Caruso in New York contributed to this report.
It's too bad that we (as a nation or as a world) don't get so alarmed over all of the babies that are murdered via abortion as we do about a flu virus.

In the United States about 3,700 babies are aborted each day or approximately 1,350,500 annually. That's one every 24 seconds. For every 100 births in the United States, there are 31 abortions.

Each year an estimated 50 million babies are aborted worldwide. At the current rate, an estimated 43% of women will have at least one abortion by the time they are 45 years old.

Oh I get it....we don't get sick and/or die when abortion doctors kill babies.

Pandemic

From Flu Facts http://www.flufacts.com/impact/statistics.aspx

In the U.S., an estimated 25–50 million cases of the flu are currently
reported each year — leading to 150,000 hospitalizations and 30,000–40,000
deaths yearly. If these figures were to be estimated incorporating the rest of
the world, there would be an average of approximately 1 billion cases of flu,
around 3–5 million cases of severe illness, and 300,000–500,000 deaths
annually.

Based on these numbers I would say that we are always in a pandemic.

I've been doing some research on the Tamiflu vaccine and guess what? Roche Laboratories, the makers of Tamiflu, says that Tamiflu has a shelf life of 36 months.

Now check this out:

May 2006 the Bird Flu pandemic scare (bogus)

The government stockpiles 50 million doses of Tamiflu (shelf life 36 hours)

April 2009 the Bird Flu pandemic scare (36 months later)

April 2009 government frees up Tamiflu supply for fighting Swine Flu (just as Tamiflu shelf life expires)

Hmmmm...

Do I think this Swine Flu scare is valid? No!

Big Brother and Big Pharma have joined together once again to stimulate the
sale of "Flu Vaccine" (poison for the people) by using the media to begin to
create a panic over the Swine Flu. Talk of a pandemic arises once again I.e.
the Bird Flu.

I have provided a couple of links below with some very informative
information. I urge you to visit and read/listen to the information provided
before you run out and infect yourself and your family with the Poison for the
People.

Do a Google search asking "How many people die each year from the flu?".
Read deep and learn?

Influenza PowerPoint Presentation

http://www.thinktwice.com/flu_show.htm

ThinkTwice Global Vaccine Institute

http://www.thinktwice.com

How many American really die of the flu each year?

http://www.life-enthusiast.com/news/s_flu.htm

Below is a little information about the Tamiflu vaccine that was encouraged
when the perceived threat of the Bird Flu was spread in 2005. Would you really
put this stuff in your families or your body? People do your research and do a
lot of praying making a decision about flu vaccinations. The wheel is turn at
this moment. Big Brother and the media is already creating the scare of a
pandemic of the Swine Flu. Remember the fear created with the Avian (Bird)
Flu...then nothing happened.

Tamiflu Treatment

Most problems noted during tests of Tamiflu were indistinguishable from the
symptoms of flu. That's a tricky was of saying Tamiflu can as easily cause the
flu as diminish it. Tamiflu is not the drug of choice because of its large side
effect profile that leaves one wondering if their flu symptoms are from a virus
or Tamiflu. Below is the list of side-effects that Tamiflu can cause. These are
all the reasons Tamiflu should be avoided:

    * Aches and pains
    * Allergic reactions sometimes leading to
shock
    * Asthma - aggravation of pre-existing asthma
    *
Bronchitis
    * Chest infection
    * Conjunctivitis
    *
